North Shore, Auckland. $110k pa + company vehicle, mobile, laptop.
The available Quantity Surveyor position offers you the opportunity to be part of a company of high repute, with job variety every day and rewarded with a competitive salary, company vehicle, mobile phone and laptop.
Reporting directly to the Managing Directors, this role is working in bespoke cabinetmaking, joinery.
The position involves planning and managing costs related to multiple projects, calculating budgets based on premium clients customized requirements, tendering, procurement and preparing detailed estimates to ensure budgets are met. You will seek to minimise the costs of each project and enhance value for money, whilst still achieving the highest level of expected standards and quality.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A relevant QS Qualification and / or proven experience
- Sound knowledge and experience in joinery production estimating and
- manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Cabinetmaking industry methods and materials
- 3 years or more New Zealand QS / Estimating and / or Project Managing experience
- Experience monitoring and analysing costs in interior fit out industry, or similar
- Tender management and costs proposal experience
- Experience contributing to day to day management and strategic directions
- Document progress, materials, and reports on project
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Professional interpersonal client relationship building skills
- The ability to read and interpret plans
- Advanced level of mathematics, accounting and calculation skills
- Exceptional planning and organistion skills
