Be part of an established elite custom bespoke mid-sized cabinetmaking company supplying custom designed high end market residential customers kitchens, cabinetry and joinery.

This position is vital and integral to all factory operations; and you will be overseeing that the factory runs smoothly making sure products and production are on track.

The company makes and installs cabinetry working on prestigious projects with supportive staff and with the back-up of an established well run company and supportive staff with long standing employment at the company.

The position is manual machining using table saws and the like and involves some heavy lifting of wood onto the machines and suits a person who is fit and able.

There is no assembling or actual Cabinetmaking, if is manual machining of wood for cabinetry products to them be made up by others.

The position does require manual wood machining experience and could suit a semi-skilled cabinetmaker with experience in this area.

The cabinetry is mainly for kitchens and exceptional grade quality for the high end residential market.

As CNC Programmer, you’ll be writing code, and you’ll also be operating a CNC Morbedelli 3 & 5 Axis machine.

The successful candidate MUST have the following:

·       Setup and administration of CNC

·       Experience in Microsoft Office Software and general understanding of computing

·       Experience and knowledge in the operation of computer systems and CNC machinery

·       Experience in using Rhino, Solid Works and Alpha Cam is useful, but training will be provided.

·       Other programming systems can be bought for the right candidate.

·       Ability to read and work to dimensional drawings

·       Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a wider team

·       Confidence working under pressure and to deadlines

Cabinet Vision Software skills or similar & ability to be trained up in this software are important.

You will seek to minimise the costs of each project and enhance value for money, whilst still achieving the highest level of expected standards and quality.

To be successful in this role you will have:

 

  • A relevant QS Qualification and / or proven experience
  • Sound knowledge and experience in joinery production estimating and
  • manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Cabinetmaking industry methods and materials
  • 3 years or more New Zealand QS / Estimating and / or Project Managing experience
  • Experience monitoring and analysing costs in interior fit out industry, or similar
  • Tender management and costs proposal experience
  • Experience contributing to day to day management and strategic directions
  • Document progress, materials, and reports on project
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Professional interpersonal client relationship building skills
  • The ability to read and interpret plans
