SHEETMETAL ESTIMATOR

A dedicated South Auckland sheetmetal manufacturing 100% NZ owned company, invested in future growth, to deliver innovative solutions and projects, are looking for a Sheetmetal Estimator to join their growing team.

Requirements:

• Strong Knowledge of the steel market & metal fabrication processes
• Good understanding of local market conditions (incl. changes in material, equipment & labour costs)
• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in the Sheetmetal Industry
• Having a Mechanical Engineering background also beneficial
• Meet project bid deadlines and schedules with attention to detail
• Prepare sheetmetal take-off for inclusion into estimating software, including drawings & reports
• Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Draught sight & Sigma nest
• Knowledge of AlmaCAM software advantageous (will be trained)
• Able to read, understand & interpret 2D, 3D drawings & analyse specifications and tolerances.
• Good Communication skills dealing with customers, suppliers & team members
• Confident dealing with customers daily request orders
• Provide quotations and communicate any discrepancies or job management issues
• Help co-ordinate with other staff (office & warehouse)
• Knowledge in Fiber Laser and CNC Brake Press operation a bonus
• Healthy and Safety awareness very important
• Currently living in and have the right to work in NZ (including NZ Work Visa)

Job Details:

Type:              Permanent Fulltime Position

Wage:             $65k – $85k/a neg with skills & experience

Location:        Wiri, South Auckland

Hours:            40-hour work week (M-F 8.00am – 4.30pm – neg)

Start:              ASAP
